Last night I took part in something that I haven't done directly. I took part in an evangelism dinner. Friends were invited who are Christian and non-Christian alike with the purpose of sharing the Gospel. It was all done in Cantonese, and I speak very little, so some was translated for me, and some I experienced with non-verbal communication. It was a lot of fun! The conversation flowed really smoothly, with a mix of serious and light parts of the conversation. It was really engaging, and wonderful to experience. I got to share my testimony (parts of it for the first time) and it was translated into Chinese.
It made me think: when do most Christians in America do something like that? (And I'm including myself in it.) When I was in America, I never took part in anything like that. It got me thinking: wow. What an impact Christians could make if we all were so active in our faith like this group of women that I had the pleasure of sharing last night with! I thank God for these women, and the testimony that they shared with me by openly sharing to other people! I felt so inspired by them and their eagerness to share Christ's love, and I would urge you to do the same! Invite some non-Christian friends over with the intention to tell them the wonderful news that Jesus is the Christ--the Son of God, and that He died on the cross to pay the price (death) of our sins, and rose again, so that we can live again with Him in heaven!
