Today marks 5 days! 5 days from right now I will be over the Pacific Ocean on my way to Hong Kong. Then I will catch the ferry to Macau. I'll let you know what total travel time will be, but if you count from the time I leave my house in America to the time I reach my apartment in Macau, the total travel time will be somewhere around 27-30 hours, depending on many things. I am very excited to be doing this, and cannot wait to land in Asia!
Today I did a lot of things. I woke up at 9am to a conference call discussing my call papers, and then I worked on my room and then finished filling out my call papers, along with meeting with the president of my district this afternoon. I will finish going through my room and will then pull out my half-packed suitcases to get it all packed and ready to go. Hopefully that will all happen today.
Tomorrow (Saturday) will be my last free day to do this stuff, because Sunday is my installation and pot-luck, along with probably spending time with my best friend(s), and then Sunday night through Tuesday morning I have guests coming over--some of my best friends from Concordia.
Tuesday I guess will be free, but I leave the next day to go to Macau, so that will probably be family day, plus whoever comes over...if they do. We'll just have to see! But I won't have my car anymore on Tuesday, as I have sold it and it will be traveling to its new owner.
People keep asking me if I am nervous. I'd like to say no. I dont get scared or worked up about moving, but lately I have had a very sore stomach. It's not upset, but it's been sore--whenever I eat, I feel I've overeaten, even if I ate just a normal amount. So maybe I am nervous, but I am just not experiencing it mentally--just physically. I don't know.
Well, I'll quit babbling now. Time to tackle the remainder of my room! Please pray for me as the transition happens WITHIN THE WEEK!! :)
