Current events...

Here's my list of things to do/people to see/places to go, etc

• Yesterday (July 31): first official day as an employee at LCMS World Mission!
• Tonight (Aug 1): barbecue with family friends celebrating my and another friend's calls to church work (me as a missionary, him as a Lutheran school teacher)...kind of a goodbye party for both of us.
• Aug 2: my most recent roommate and her HUSBAND are coming over as they drive through to California
•  Aug 2 and 3: doctors appointments ...(boo)... to get ready to be gone for a year
• Aug 4: last day at Zales!  Also the only day I work this week :)
• Aug 5: birthday party for a friend, and also probably say goodbye to her.
• Aug 7-9: go to my Grandma's so that I can see her and some other extended family before I take off
• All days up through the 14th: pack... get my stuff in bins if I want to keep it here, in my suitcase if it will go with me, and get rid of the other stuff (potentially by burning.)
• Aug 14: Commissioning and Pot Luck at church!!
• Aug 14-16: Rachel and Rebekah (2 really good college friends) come through on their way back to school with another friend
• Aug 17: take a 6:30 (yes, in the morning) plane out of town, then out of the country!
• Aug 18: take the ferry from Hong Kong to Macau and find out where I'll live and what I'll be doing for the next year!
